Description
This is collaborative report with 2 students and carry out an analysis of a corporation/SBU demonstrating a holistic understanding of the organization and its environments as well as demonstrating your skills in strategic analysis and planning. You can structure your assignment as follows:
1. Executive summary (Collaborative work)
2. Introduction (brief background of the corporation/SBU, target market, industry definition, current challenges) (Collaborative work)
3. Analysis of the internal and external environment of the corporation/SBU and identify the strategic challenges that it is facing (Collaborative work)
4. Identification discussion and evaluation of the future strategic options available to the corporation/SBU, recommendation of a future strategic direction (Individual work).
5. Conclusion (Individual work)
NOTE 1:
Both students will be collaboratively assessed for the first part of the assignment (Analysis of the internal and external environment of the corporation/SBU and identify the strategic challenges that it is facing) as well as for the introduction and executive summary of the assignment.
NOTE 2:
Each of the two students will be individually assessed for the second part of the assignment (Identification discussion and evaluation of the future strategic options available to the corporation/SBU, recommendation of a future strategic direction) as well as the conclusion, presentation and structure of the assignment
NOTE 3:
The assignment should be written in an executive report format as if it will be submitted to the Board of Directors. This means that you don’t have to explain any theories, frameworks and provide definitions of the concepts you use. You need to apply all the theoretical knowledge into practice.
