Part A
Analysis of the graduate market in general, using statistics, figures and diagrams to evidence work:
How buoyant is the UK graduate market? How many jobs are being advertised for graduates?
How competitive is the UK graduate market? What is the location of graduate jobs within the UK? What are the average salaries being offered?
What effect has Covid had on the graduate recruitment market? What skills and competences in general are employers looking for in graduates?
Part B
Next, analyse the graduate job market in the UK specifically relating to the Finance sector.
How has the sector/profession been affected by Covid? Are there more or less jobs than average (as identified in part a) in this specific sector? Is this specific market more or less competitive? Where are jobs located in the UK?
Are there any specific skills/competences mentioned, that are different/additional to those identified in part A?
Part C
Analyse 3 graduate jobs specific to the Finance sector within the UK. Using the template attached for the analysis. Then analyse the skills/competences etc that employers are looking for. Are they all looking for similar things? Are there differences depending on the type of organization or job?
Finally – from part A, B and C, summarise (probably in a table) a definition of the ‘ideal candidate’ for a graduate job. List and prioritise the skills, competences, qualities etc that are required.
