Students will submit a 300 word analysis of a brand storytelling example of their choosing. Analysis should include the following four sections:
Summary:
Summarize the storytelling example concisely, provide links to video, content, or images that show this example. Approximately 50 words in addition to links, etc.
Concrete Response:
Discuss why this particular example of brand storytelling resonated with you personally. How and why did you make a personal connection with this brand’s story? Relate personal experiences and/or examples. Approximately 100 words.
Reflection:
What connections can be made between this case and the readings for this week? Discuss the positives and negatives of this example—what did the organization or individual do well? What did they do poorly? What questions did this case bring up for you? Approximately 100 words.
Action:
What element(s) of this case can you incorporate into your own writing? Be precise. Approximately 50 words.
The paper must adhere to APA standards. You are also required to create a References page on which you provide the complete reference citation for any sources used, including the chosen article, in compliance with current APA standards.
Note:
Your grade on the Storytelling Analysis depends on the manner in which you address each of these four dimensions in response to your readings. Strict attention will be given to grammar, usage, and spelling, in an effort to build vital PR writing skills. Each analysis must be double-spaced and adhere to the lengths as noted above (not including the Title page and References page). Use quotes strategically and sparingly.
