Assignment 3: Literature Review
The final assignment challenges you to draw what you’ve learned during the course to write a comprehensive but short conceptual literature review of your topic. Having read and evaluated a significant amount of relevant articles on your topic, you can now piece these together into a coherent review that tells the reader about the state of knowledge of your chosen topic, the quality of the theoretical and empirical research undertaken so far, and to identify opportunities to future social research relevant to your degree program.
Your work will be assessed on the extent to which you:
1. Engage in effective critique of the research on your chosen topic
2. Organize your review in a coherent and logical way with a clear narrative
3. Draw effectively on an appropriate quantity of academic literature to undertake your review
4. Identify opportunities for future social research in your profession / discipline
5. Structure your work in accordance with the conventions of good academic writing and referencing
