Compare the presentation and function of villains or anti-heroes in at least two works of fiction that you have studied.

Choose one of the following questions. Use multiple pieces of evidence from at least two of the texts read this semester to support your answer. Use the title of the text, the author’s name and exact character names.

In your response, you should consider the following things: the author’s use and effect of language, style, or structure; the effect that context has on the writer and the reader; and an answer to the question that explains the message that the author has conveyed through the text.

Your essay should be structured using all the parts of an essay, with paragraphs clearly indicated. You should use language that is appropriate to the task. You should use the conventions of grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and spelling throughout your essay.
