Book Analysis Guidelines
1. Write in MLA format with a citation from the book you are reviewing at the end of your essay. Go to www.easybib.com and enter the book information to get the proper citation.
2. Make sure to title your essay the name of your book.
3. Write a 5 paragraph essay:
a. Paragraph One- Introduction. How did you feel when you were assigned to read the book? Initial thoughts and how the characters first struck you.
b. Paragraph Two- Give a summary of the beginning of the book and major character developments.
c. Paragraph Three- Give a summary of the middle of the book and major character developments.
d. Paragraph Four- Give a summary of the end of the book with major character developments.
e. Paragraph Five- Your thoughts on the book and its major theme. Explain how the book did impacted you.
4. Paragraphs need to be 7-15 sentences each.
