Closed system
Description
This week, we learn about kinetic molecular theory.
Think of a common closed system, like a pot of water boiling with the lid on it. Can you think of another closed system that we experience in daily life?
Describe how pressure, temperature, number of particles, and volume may change in this system. In the pot of boiling water, the temperature is often changed from the heating element of the stove. When the temperature changes, it causes other variables to change as well.
Discuss these changes in your example and describe the changes to the pressure, temperature, number of particles, and volume.
