Conclusion

 What the findings mean.
 Answers to the question(s) that led to the report.
 Don’t introduce new facts or ideas.
 Not dissimilar to the conclusion of an essay.
 Some reports will cover these goals in Discussion, however we will write a separate Conclusion.
Recommendations
 Suggests solutions based on findings and discussion
 Consider: what action should be taken, who should take it, what is the time frame of the action, and what costs are involved.
 SMART: specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and timely.

 Use in-text referencing; any sources cited in-text should be included in a list of references.
 Begin on a new page
 Title it References
 Format your references according to Harvard Style.
 Use the University’s guide to Harvard.

Appendix

 Optional
 Not incl. in word count
 Includes supplementary data that supports your points but is not necessary, or too disruptive, when incl. in the body of the report.
 E.g. full questions set given to subjects of a survey; or the transcript of an interview.
 Report should be coherent and clear without the appendix: it is supplementary.
 Any included appendices must be referred to in-text, e.g. (see Appendix 1)
 Refer to Appendices as Appendix 1, Appendix 2, etc. OR Appendix A, Appendix B, etc.
