Description
In this assessment task, you will be asked a variety of interview questions for a potential graduate nurse program position and are required to prepare and provide a response to each of these questions.
Questions to be asked for this fictitious graduate nurse program position will involve general questions, hospital focused questions, situational questions, attitudinal, behavioural and clinical questions, knowledge-based questions and transition questions. You are to research and prepare responses to all these questions and then deliver your response to each question via a 10 minute (+/- 10%) oral presentation.
This assessment task provides you with the opportunity to prepare and practice for upcoming graduate nurse position interviews that you will be undertaking prior to and/or after you complete your Nursing degree.
This is highly beneficial as you will need to consider the entire interview process from preparation, to considering the type of clothing you are going to wear being conscious of body language, demeanour and posture. Graduate nurse positions are highly competitive, thus any practice and insight into this process is highly desirable and this assessment task provides you with the chance to not only prepare for such an interview, but also gain feedback about your responses.
