MODULE NAME: Legal and Professional Environment COMBINED “PART A” AND “PART C” REFERRED COURSEWORK
This Coursework is in two main sections:
Section 1 contains the assessment for “Part A” of the module (on Case Analysis/Legal Method) and is worth 70% of the overall credit for this module.
Section 2 contains the assessment for “Part C” of the module (on Professional Ethics) and is worth 30% of the overall credit for this module.

SECTION 1: Part A of the Module – Case Analysis/Legal Method
Word limit: There is no word limit for Section 1 of the Legal and Professional Environment assessment coursework. However, your answers should be as concise, precise and accurate as possible without being repetitive (see criteria below).
The four questions in Section 1 of this assessment coursework are equally weighted. You must answer all the questions.
Important notice: When answering questions relating to the material facts, legal issue and ratio decidendi of the case, you MUST confine your reading to the case extract provided. If it is apparent that you have referred to extraneous material relating to the reported decision such as law reports, case summaries, textbooks or other similar material, this will be reflected negatively in your grade. You do not need to include a bibliography for Section 1.
Assessment criteria.
The marking criteria will adhere to the NTU grading descriptors for Level 4 (for LAW_11761) and Level 5 (for LAW_22427). Your answers should:
1. Be, clear, concise and accurate.
2. Not, be repetitive.
3. Contain only relevant information.
4. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the case.
5. Demonstrate an understanding of techniques, aids etc. to statutory interpretation.
