Address the following criteria in a one (1) to three (3) page paper (not counting the title page or reference page) using the most recent APA (American Psychologic Association) format. Each criterion should be addressed in a separate paragraph with an appropriate header.
You will write ONE paper addressing evidence based practice for both specialty sites.Include the following on the title page:
1. Evidence Based Practice in the ICU 2. Your name 3. Nurse preceptors’ names and credentials. No abstract is required.Criterion:1. Overview of Evidence Based Practice: Describe evidence based practice. Discuss the components/steps of evidence based practice.
2. Levels of Evidence: What are the different levels of evidence? What do the terms scholarly and peer reviewed mean in relation to research articles/journals? What does this mean for nurses as they are reviewing literature for change in practice?
3. ICU Research Article: Describe two interventions you observed during your ICU rotation and provide a RESEARCH article either supporting or negating its use. Provide a brief summary of the findings of the research article. The article should be no older than 5 years and should be from a scholarly, peer-reviewed NURSING journal. Be sure to internally cite the article, and also include it on the reference page.
4. Conclusion: In the conclusion summarize the importance of evidence based practice for nursing. Provide specific examples of how you might stay current and implement current evidence in your future nursing practice.
