Examining the Severity of Covid -19 in asthma patients: A case study and critical review of Literature
Description
A referenced 3000-word summative assessment which expands on the case submitted earlier. Students are expected to:
o Include the case description from the formative submission having made any amendments recommended by the tutor marking your work and use this description to introduce the topic of your essay
o Demonstrate critical clinical analysis of the case
o Provide an essay that is well balanced by discussing the issue from more than one viewpoint. For example, if appropriate, from a clinician’s perspective and from a patient perspective, or by conflicting opinions from relevant literature. For example, differing guidelines or clinical trials.
o Provide an evaluation that is guided by evidence-based practice and current national guidelines.
o Present/discuss your learning with regard to the issues raised.
o Offer a conclusion that is either of specific relevance to the case or of more general relevance to that patient group.
o Include the perspective of ‘the Physician Associate’.
o Include clinical/personal reflection on the case which considers the evidence you have presented as part of your discussion and feedback obtained from the formative submission to explain how this case will influence your future practice as a PA.
o Highlight issues for further learning/recommendations.
o Use an appropriately high level of written English as this assignment requires evidence of Masters level academic writing. The essay should include both reflection and evidence of a literature review relating to the key issues raised.
o Use the Vancouver system to reference material you have cited within your essay.
