The Biblical Theology Paper is a research-based paper in current Turabian format, focusing on a biblical theology. The intent is to connect leadership with theology. Continuing from the Biblical Theology Paper Assignment: Proposal, the student will show how the biblical/theological foundation of [your chosen theology] form and inform leadership in the following 8 areas: metaphysical (reality), epistemology (knowledge), axiology (values), purpose (meaning), role of the leader, role of the follower, leadership methodology, and setting?
The student will write a 10–12 page research-based paper in current Turabian style (see Writing Style Guide). This paper must include a Title Page with a unique title, using the Sample Title Page template. The paper must have an explanation of the theology, thesis statement (from the Proposal), headings, and page numbers. The paper must include at least 8 scholarly, peer-reviewed sources in addition to the course textbooks and the Bible with proper Turabian citations preferably in footnotes and a Bibliography. The paper will address the areas listed below:
Eight (8) areas of consideration:
Metaphysical: A division of philosophy that is concerned with the fundamental nature of reality and being and that includes ontology, cosmology, and often epistemology. Address: How the reality of this theology would aid in forming and informing the leader?
epistemology: The study or a theory of the nature and grounds of knowledge especially with reference to its limits and validity. Address: How the knowledge of this theology would aid in forming and informing the leader?
axiology: The study of the nature, types, and criteria of values and of value judgments especially in ethics. Address: How valuable is this theology would aid in forming and informing the leader?
purpose: Something set up as an object or end to be attained :INTENTION, RESOLUTION, DETERMINATION. Address: How the significance of this theology would aid in forming and informing the leader?
role of the leader: How this theology is beneficial to the leader as he/she leads?
role of the follower: How this theology benefits the leader in leading others?
leadership methodology: How this theology effects the practice (best practices) of the leader by informing how to lead?
setting: How should the theology practiced in daily life as leader?
