Now that you have established your objectives/outcomes (SEE BELOW), and decided on the specifics of how you are going to assess and evaluate through the use of test, it is time to focus on creation of the actual test. Using information developed in Part 1 &2, you will now create a plan for assembling, administering, scoring the test, establishing evidence of reliability and validity, and interpreting the results of the test.
Introduction
Offer a one to two paragraph introduction to this essay discussing the focus of the paper.
Plan for Assembling
Discuss the plan for assembling this test. How will you gather or collect your questions? Will you be using a test bank or writing your own questions? Explain and justify your choices.
Administering
Discuss the administration of the test. How long with students have to complete the test? Will students be working alone or with partner? Is this test open-book, notes allowed, or without any assistance? Are there any other rules or guidelines you will be enforcing during the test? Justify and explain.
Scoring the Test
How will you score this test? How many points is the test worth? How many points per question? Are all questions worth the same amount of points? How did you decide how many points each question is worth? Justify and explain.
Evidence of Reliability and Validity
Discuss the concepts of reliability and validity. What do these concepts mean when developing and administering tests? Why are these concepts important? How will you ensure reliability and validity in this exam? Be specific. Justify and explain your answers.
Interpreting the Results of the Test
Discuss the how you will interpret the results of the test. What do the scores mean? How do you know if the test was successful? How do you know if the test was unsuccessful? Discuss how to interpret individual questions and the overall test. Justify and explain your answers.
Create Eight Test Questions
Use the form to attach your eight NCLEX-style test questions to be included on the unit exam. Follow the blueprint you created. How many remembering or comprehension questions will be allowed from you on this test? How many test questions are to be in an alternate format?
Remember to submit one test questions for each NCLEX test plan category, Make sure test questions are aligned with a student learning outcome. Attach the test cover sheet and your eight test questions in the appendix of your paper.
Summary
Create a summary of the information discussed in this essay. The summary should be one to two paragraphs.
References
For this paper, you should include at least four (4) additional scholarly references to support your assertions. Scholarly references should be no more than five (5) years old and from a peer-reviewed journal.
Length
This paper should be four (4) pages in length, double-spaced, 12 point font, adhering to proper grammar and APA. This does not include the appendix.
