GROUP THERAPY PAPER
The group you choose must at least have 4 people in the group.
This assignment will be an integration of theory and practice and an opportunity to enhance communication across the curriculum
Requirements include a theory paper of 9-10 pgs in 7th edition APA format.
A. Describe the type of group you are, or will be, working with.
B. What is the criteria for member selection?
C. Provide a contract for your group (or discuss what a group contract would entail for groups already in progress). What were the expectations
D. What boundaries did you establish or were established?
E. What is the process and content of this group?
F. Describe stages of group theory and give examples of how they are expressed in your group.
G. Relate Yalom’s group concepts to your group. (Use references from recommended texts and current advanced practice journal articles)
H. What was helpful and what would you have done differently, based on group theory/concepts?
I. Was this group cohesive? If yes, describe with specific examples. If no, discuss with specific examples.
J. Provide seating arrangements charts(appendix) and logs(or interactions) for each group meetings detailing the interactions among members.
