Assessment Brief:
You are business development executive in an experience design agency. Produce an experience design product concept for a Arabic food festival, presented as a portfolio which will be shared with your fellow students who will provide you with 360° feedback on your ideas. As you prepare your portfolio, consider the following aspects:
· Who is the target market for your experience? Describe their values, lifestyle, and beliefs
· Reflect on subjective elements of psychology, such as culture and perception. Will your experience be sited in one country or will it tour the world? What cultural concerns do you need to take into account? Is it suitable for local or international audiences?
· Propose a top line marketing plan that considers the high involvement. complex decision-making process
· Consider the role of groups and social influence in the decision to attend your inherently social experience concept and how the diffusion process operates. How could this be used to increase attendance, especially among people who are risk averse to new experiences?
· What aspects of emotional design can you introduce to engage attendees to your experience, and encourage them to come in the first place?
· Include a literature review discussing the academic sources that have informed your design. Demonstrate how relevant consumer psychological theory have influenced the development of your experience concept
You will also be designed to evaluate your colleagues’ portfolios as part of this assessment. You must provide constructive critiques, demonstrating your emotional intelligence and people skills in how you provide feedback to others on their work
