Finalized Research Paper with bibliography: Compose a final draft of your research paper and a bibliography (this final version should not be annotated) that meets all the requirements of the assignment instructions in this module, as well as the criteria within the grading rubric and the Writing Guidance page of the Welcome module.
Self-assessment: Before you submit your finalized paper with regular bibliography, grade your own work. Download the self-scoring grading rubric, then complete it and save it. Upload it along with your finalized research paper and regular bibliography.

Does my paper use Chicago-style formatting?
IMPORTANT: Your paper should have a specific focus. The goal of a research paper is to make an argument and provide evidence to support your theory. You need to rely on the work of professional historians who look at historical events and interpret them. The research paper needs to take a particular lens and discuss it. You should go beyond mere reporting of facts about your subject. Instead, the focus is historical interpretation. This gives you a wide variety of directions you can take with any of the listed subjects. To be clear, research papers do not report on the biographical facts of, for example, Lincoln’s life, but, instead, they look at historians’ research and discuss how these scholars interpret an aspect of Lincoln’s actions or some aspect influenced his life.
Chicago style formatting:
End-notes are used when your paper makes a direct reference to one of the research sources listed in your bibliography. This includes, but is not limited to, direct quotes.
Your bibliography should include all the sources you used in your research.
