Basic Requirements:

Critical Discussion 01
Basic Requirements:
• Develop an assessment of the selected research paper (see details below) with the aim of presenting a critical reflection on the role played by orthodox and heterodox views on the impact of trade and economic integration. You should support your answers with peer reviewed material – a minimum of 3 peer reviewed sources please). You should answer based on this reading and the set material for this CAT.
• Word Count: maximum 750 words, excluding list of references.
Research Paper: ‘The overselling of globalization’ (2017) by Stiglitz, J. E. in Business Economics, 52(3), pp. 129-137.
Questions to be addressed: Why are assumptions important in economics models? How has orthodox economic thinking led to the failures of globalization? What contributions could a more holistic approach make in your view?
