What are some of the advantages and disadvantages of qualitative forecasting? Discuss how you would need to apply qualitative forecasting if you were the manager of one of the following hospitality products right now: hotel, restaurant, or cruise ship.
A lot of this week’s examples were about forecasting for hotels. Imagine that you are working in a casino. What would you need to forecast in slot operations? In table games? What kind of information could you use from the hotel to help improve these forecasts? What would impact these forecasts?
