Exploratory Response 2: Imagining Controversy

The second exploratory response follows the same basic guidelines as the first one. However, this response must involve some close reading of assigned material from weeks 6, 7, or 8, that is, material we’ve covered since the first exploratory response was due in week 5.
The stated topic is “Imagining Controversy,” but you need not opt for one of the most obvious controversies. You can certainly write about colorism or religion in a specific Netflix program or music video, for example, but you could also find your inspiration in a single segment from one of Brenda Miller’s rejection letters.
What about the one in which she writes about her efforts to “serve as the white girlfriend and savior to a Native Americcgoan man twelve years [her] senior”?
