Assignment #2:
Access restricted before availability starts. Must post first. Initial post: After reading “Why Women Aren’t Welcome on the Internet” (Hess), and “Toxic Twitter” (Amnesty International) respond to the following questions in two to three paragraphs (NO BULLETS). Paragraphs should be focused by topic, not simply answering the questions in order.
• Hess suggests that that online harassment of women “could be seen as a cause for celebration.” Why does she mean by this statement? Who is celebrating and why? • What statistics and quotes from the article Amnesty International article indicate that women on the Internet are stalked and harassed at a higher rate compared to men?
• What ideas are similar between the two articles? What is different?
