For this assignment I picked a random student from our class blog to reply to. Basically the reply has to just be friendly stating any thing relevant to the students entry which I pasted below. Please cite one source from chapter 7 in the text book which I will provide the website and credentials to access in the chat that also is relevant to the student that I have chosen response. It can be anything from pointing out something that you agree with in the other students response or some thing that you related with in the reading of chapter 7 that the student also brought up. Here is the students original BLOG ENTRY we are submitting the BLOG REPLY for- In order to be a competent intercultural communicator means to be an open minded and continue to practice verbal and nonverbal communication skills and learn about others. In order to be a competent intercultural communicator you have to have the motivation to utilize our pervious learned perspectives of social science, interpretive and critical approaches. In the textbook Intercultural Communications in contexts motivation in this context is defined as ” As an individual component of intercultural communication competence, the desire to make a commitment in relationships, to learn about the self and others, and to remain flexible.” (Martin, J. N., & Nakayama, T. K. ,2018).
