Introduction
The U.S. Homeland Security Enterprise places a major emphasis on preventing disruptions, accidents, and terrorist attacks. This is problematic with new technologies. It is often not readily apparent if a new technology will present a homeland security challenge. Christopher Knapp in his Master’s thesis “Window of opportunity: mitigating threats from disruptive technologies before widespread adoption” provide insights on and recommendations to overcome this challenge.
