A teaching philosophy statement is a paper describing your core approach to teaching in your field. It is important to be aware of your own educational philosophy since it helps you focus on why you may decide to become an educator/teacher. Your philosophy should include a concise first-person description of your teaching approach. It is a statement of personal beliefs and how these will be put into action in your classroom. It is an action plan for you rather than a theoretical essay on education.
Discuss as well what can you done in your class to make the experience a better for your students
Questions to consider (a paragraph for each idea):
• What is the purpose of education?
• What is your role as an educator?
• What are your beliefs about how children learn?
• How will your beliefs affect your teaching?
• How do you balance the needs of the individual learner with the needs of the classroom community?
• What are your goals for students?
