Film Review: The film review is designed to examine the concepts, issues, and dilemmas related to individuals/families in crisis through the study of contemporary film.

Your task is to summarize and critically reflect on how the media portrays films. Each film review report should include:

1) Summary,

2) Application to Individuals/Families in Crisis,

3) Critical Reflection (the film’s impact on your thoughts, attitudes, beliefs, etc.), as well as connecting to concepts discussed in class/readings.

A list of sample films can be found below, and students may select any other film that pertains to individual or family crisis.

Turn in a 2–3-page paper and prepare a brief 5–10-minute presentation to the class.
