To define the terms of an effective curriculum and pedagogy it requires educators to remove boundaries of training, practice, socialization, and experience. When making decisions regarding curricular concepts it involves careful planning to give rise to a richer curriculum that covers multiple learning objectives that deeply engage students. The goal of this assignment is to aid you in reviewing the broad range of eclectic approaches in music education to determine which one(s) can result in a more powerful learning experience for students.
Instructions
Select one of the eclectic approaches to music education. Investigate the method’s principles, philosophies, practices, distinctive pedagogy, and historical significance. Discuss its development, role in K–12 general education, and in vocal and/or instrumental ensemble development.
