Leadership in Inter-Professional Teams
Assessment
2021/22
Component 2:
Coursework Essay

The coursework requires you to consider the development of a service improvement / plan / initiative. It should demonstrate your level of knowledge and understanding relating to the Leadership in Inter-Professional Teams module content and specifically the application of key theories (e.g. leadership, organisational behaviour), change management strategies and/or models for use and application.

You are expected to select an area of service or practice, and formulate a plan that outlines a development / improvement / extension within that area. The area can be in the public, voluntary or private sectors. The development, improvement and/or extension could be:
• An additional practice or intervention, which makes a difference to service quality
• A continued professional development activity to enhance staff expertise
• An extension to a current service to improve quality for key stakeholders
• An entrepreneurial activity to enhance service delivery

Guidelines
Information will be available that detail the requirements for the assessment

The coursework word count should not exceed 2400 words.
Tables, figures, schematics and/or appendices do NOT count in the word count.

The assignment should begin with an “Executive Summary” (guideline: this should not exceed 500 words). The purpose of this section is to outline the key points of the plan summarising the content of the report in a succinct and clear fashion. A suggestion is that you should aim to access examples of executive summaries in government and professional papers to help with the layout of the Executive Summary.
