2. Specific requirements
2.1. Conduct a residential survey in a residential property (this can include a house, a flat or halls of residence). The minimum requirements: 1 Bedroom, kitchen, lounge, bathroom and a main entrance.
2.2. Report the defects on the provided RHS Level 1 survey using the form provided in Blackboard. Your entries must be typed. Under each heading, you must include a full description of the form of construction and finishes of the item/s followed by a statement of their condition.
2.3. Photographs must be included to enable verification of the contents of the form including photos of all defects that have been described within the RHS Level 1. You must provide photographic evidence as indicated within the report. Remember to ask for permission to photograph the selected house.
2.4. Write a 2000-word report describing in detail the differences in dry rot and wet rot, how they spore inside a property, creating timber defects then the remedies for the removal and the refurbishment of the defective dry rot and wet rot timber.
