You are supervising a case manager within your school-based mental health program. You notice that your case manager is struggling to build rapport with several of the clients on her caseload. You have witnessed interactions where the case manager and her clients have appeared to be inauthentic and leaning toward more of an authoritative approach.
The clients that you have seen this interaction with are all of the males on her caseload. In order for the case manager to be effective in goal setting and behavior modification for the client, she needs to have a more trusting and therapeutic relationship.
