• Oversees the Dining and Nutrition Department.

• Ensuring that all the special adaptive equipment’s needed for patients and residents are in stock.

• On a daily basis, I walk through the department and greet the employees.
• Daily rounding in the morning and afternoon to ensure all food items are labeled, dated, and placed in the proper location.
• Check and inspects the sanitation chemical concentration.
• Check the sanitation and temperature checklist.
• Check water temperature for the dishwasher machine.
• Check the temperature for all the refrigerators.
• Check emails and voicemails.
• Check for any catering event or special request.
• Inspect the food for taste, appearance, and temperature. It includes regular and chop food. In addition, check puree food for thick consistency.
• Check with the supervisors on duty for any updates or if help is needed in case of short staffing.
• Place work orders if an equipment is not working properly.
• Check for coverage on the schedule.
• Do inventory for all the special adaptive equipment needed once a week in place an order if it is needed.
• Payroll every other Monday.
• Do schedule for full-time and part-time employees on Friday for two weeks.
• Place the bread order daily.
• Place the milk order every other day.
• Check the expenses of the department weekly.
• Inspects the dining areas and talks to residents to interchange feedbacks of the meals served for the day to improve resident’s satisfaction, services, and quality of the meals.
• Oversees other kitchens located in different buildings by call or in person every other week.
• Track and ensure that all food items delivered to different departments are recorded to charge to the perspective department.
