Scenario Overview:

You are an HRM professional working at Uber. You just returned from an unprecedented meeting with the Chief

Human Resource Officer, who has asked you to develop a recommendation on handling the
orientation and initial training of 50 new employees. The project was given to you to test your skills
and will be an important part of your development and career plan – this is a huge, exciting
opportunity for you! The recommendation, due at the end of the week, is the most important project
you have had in your career to date, but, fortunately, you have the tools and knowledge from the
HRM 201 course to pull it together!

Instructions:

In this assignment, you will write a report that will provide a clear approach to your recommended
orientation and initial training solution for the company Uber.

Provide the following:
1. Overview Introduction:

• Summarize why orientation and initial training processes are important to the organization.

• Include a concise summary of critical aspects of your recommendation and expected
outcomes of the orientation and training processes.

2. Planning:

• Describe the process you would undertake to complete a task analysis.

• Explain how you will ensure that selected motivating factors (table 7.3) and learning conditions (table 7.4) are in place.

• Include two (2) specific things that Managers must do to support the learning.

3. Training:

• Provide a summary of the training solution you recommend, including at least two (2) training methods from our text

• Include one (1) current issue in the Training & Development field and how it will be
overcome.

• Explain the specific way(s) that you will measure the effectiveness of the training.

4. Conclusion:

• In 2-3 lines, summarize why you selected the planning and training methods you
provide.

Requirements:

• Paper length should be three (3) pages, with additional title and reference pages.
• Include at least three (3) scholarly/professional references to support your report.
• Be sure to use proper APA formatting and reference citations.
