With news about race issues across the country and athletes and teams standing up for racial and political issues, can/should sports and athletes challenge the views of race logic and help transform racial and ethical relations? Describe.
The chapter identified associations and programs, such as the Black Women in Sports Foundation, that work to generate interest in nontraditional sports among girls and women of color. Currently, only 20% of females participating in college sports are black. Discuss innovative ideas and other ways that interest and opportunities in high school and NCAA-emerging sports, such as lacrosse, rowing, rugby, & archery can be generated among girls of color.
