Would pursuing the topic or something similar to it enhance you appreciation of music in the area of your chosen topic; would it relieve you of emotional and physical demands and various other potential concerns?

Music History

As this class is a Rowan Core Course, your second research paper allows you to explore a topic beyond what we cover in class and gives you the opportunity to consult resources using books, articles and databases as you wish to discover information on composers and musical compositions.

The first section is to be an annotated bibliography where you research sources existing on the topic.

The second section of the paper is a discussion of your opinion and perception of the topic and how that opinion or perception might have changed from the start of your research until you finish.

Consider your topic and how it influences your life givenwhat is happening on our planet today. Would pursuing the topic or something similar to it enhance you appreciation of music in the area of your chosen topic; would it relieve you of emotional and physical demands and various other potential concerns? Might it help you through those issues by your placing yourself in any particular role?

The instructor is asked to assess you using an online chart according to the
following rubric:
Sources of annotated bibliography
Changing perception of the topic
New information gained on the topic and how it influences your decision
to continue connecting to the topic
in the future.

Annotated Bibliography: a list of sources, commonly articles and/or
books, on a selected topic, accompanied by a brief summary and your
personal evaluation of each of the sources. You may use UTube performances as long as you cite the performers/orchestras/conductors as
part of your bibliography. The annotated bibliography should be two pages
in length.
