“Amos Applied”
a) Imagine that Amos is alive in our time. What situation that you think your Amos would address? Who your Amos would be? Who the audience he/she address? What his/her message would be?
b) Explain in 1-2 pages how the situation, the choice of your modern Amos, the people addressed, and the message are analogous to biblical Amos, his situation, audience, and message.
c) Compose a speech (at least 2 full pages) that your Amos could have spoken if he/she were here today. See if you can imitate one of the speeches that we have read in the book of Amos. Be ready to share your contemporary speech in class and beyond.
