Critical Response Paper

This paper, the Critical Response Paper (or CRP) is based on your critique of your favorite 3 documentary films this semester.

In the CRP the goal is for you to NOT merely recite, summarize, or paraphrase what the film is about, but for you to respond to film from the standpoint of a social scientist, student, or critic.

These papers are intended to help you develop and demonstrate your critical analysis (thinking) skills. It is your responsibility to select critical themes in your favorite 3 documentaries to discuss in your papers.

You should consider the context of the lectures in which we viewed the documentaries as well. There is no need to cite references or conduct any additional research online or at the library. This paper is just about your intellectual growth, critical thinking, and ability to discuss social issues in a culturally relativistic and objective SOCIOLOGICAL manner. Once again, this paper is based on your scientific opinions and analysis of 3 documentary films.
