Paragraph 1: The Basics (Introduction) /10 points
• Who? (The playwright, the theater company), What? (the title of the play),When was it performed? Give us a little background (Is it a new play? or a classic that has been performed many times?) What is the Play’s running time?
• Where? (the name of the theater or space in which it is playing) (2 pts), When? (what night did you see it, when is/was it running?) (2 pts)
• Give a one phrase opinion on the production overall—enjoyable? Disappointing? Engaging? Confusing? Be creative with your adjectives. (2 pts)
Paragraph 2: The Plot /10 points
• Give a 1-5 sentence run down of the basic plot (the important conflicts and their resolution) (10 points)
Paragraph 3: The Acting. Be sure to use their real names and character names when you mention specific people. /10 points
• This is where you discuss the acting and the actor you considered to be your favorite and why. How was their volume and articulation? Did their gestures and body movement convey the character well?? Were they believable? Were they focused? ?

Paragraph 4: The Design and Sound: /10 points
• Mention the set, the lights and costumes. Did they help you believe in the world of the play? Did they establish the clear mood, time period, or place for the play? What did it look like? If there was music, Did it contribute to the show’s mood? Why or why not?
Section 5: Intentions (Conclusion) /10 points
• What do you believe is the production’s main intention? To entertain us? To make us think about something? To make us feel something? What is it? How well did it achieve that goal? What were 2 moments in the performance that you particularly enjoyed? Finish your review by stating whether you liked the production overall or disliked it and why people should or should not log on to YouTube to see the show.
