Educate adolescent on the adolescent brain and substance use
Create an impactful project that will require you to conduct research on the differences between the brains of adolescents and adults, how that translates into mental and behavioral differences and why that makes adolescents vulnerable to addiction. Pick at least one drug to illustrate your point: how that drug affects the brain of the adolescent and how it places the brain at risk for addiction
Develop a compelling way to communicate this information to an audience of adolescents with substance use disorders in a manner that would capture their attention and create a curiosity to learn more. Possible projects can include PowerPoint (but it CANNOT be boring!), music video, documentary video, games, interviews, interpretive dance, :-), etc.
