Using SHMRG, compare and contrast the 20th-century contributions made by Stravinsky and Schoenberg to the development of music (especially rhythm, melody and harmony).
How did these two composers create a path for the Avant Garde composers who flourished after WWII? Of the two composers, whose music do you prefer and why. Give me an example from our listening that you liked (or didn’t dislike) and explain why. Also include an explanation of how the technological advances, the social climate, and what was happening geo-politically in Europe at the time shaped these two composers.
