Power and oppression are key concepts for many individuals and groups who are not part of dominant social groups.
Using material from the readings to support your claims, write an essay of 500 to 750 words (2 to 3 pages) in which you describe an example of power and oppression operating in American society.
Explain your argument to illustrate where power and oppression were exercised by addressing the following questions:
1.)Who exercised power and oppression in American society and/or your own life?
2.)How did they exercise that power and oppression?
3.)Why did they exercise power and oppression?
4.)How did the exercise of power and oppression benefit them?
5.)How would power and oppression be disrupted in your example?
Your essay should be double-spaced and should use Times New Roman 12-point font, with 1-inch margins on all sides. Be sure to proofread and edit your essay carefully. Cite evidence and support from the readings in your essay using standard MLA format.
