Visit one of the museums sampled in the article linked to here:

The twelve museums listed in the article are some of the major museums of the world and span all of art history. My suggestion is to browse through several museums to get an idea what you can find (and which interface works for you) and then select an artwork you would like to write about.

Your review needs to be three full pages of writing or more (750-1000 words.) Use Chicago style citation and provide (a Chicago style) bibliography. https://www.chicagomanualofstyle.org/tools_citationguide.html (Links to an external site.)

Use a common typeface not larger than 12 pt. and use double spacing. I would encourage everyone to include a photograph of the work in question. The photograph and bibliography are in addition to the three solid pages of writing (note: illustration needs to be cited as well). I expect that you use at least two academic sources for your research. Use the EBSCO or JSTOR database available at the FSW Libraries website. You can add additional popular resources. Save and upload your paper (word document) using a common file extension (.doc, .docx, .pdf) that every computer can open. Enjoy your museum visit!

note: Do not choose the Mona Lisa if you were to encounter it on your virtual tour of the Louvre. It’s better to choose a work that you’re not familiar with
