This opens wide the possibility for insurers to deny payment for any and all negative outcomes in medicine, thereby possibly placing the financial burden on the patient if all does not go well. Since many medical cases do not have desirable outcomes despite the best efforts of all providers, could such a policy quickly defund the entire medical system? Explain why or why not.
