This has become increasingly important as traditional methods of fundraising face continued challenges – particularly during a pandemic. Choose a nonprofit organization for which you have a personal interest in its mission. Spend some time reviewing their website and social media channels.
- How well represented is the organization online? Is their website up to date and easily navigable?
- Which social media channels are the organization using? Are they aligned in their messaging? How often are posts being made? Are they on the right channels?
- If you were a prospective donor, how easy is it to give online? Is giving referenced via social media?
- What do you think is the main goal of the messaging being put out via the website and social media? Is it storytelling, advocacy, giving, etc.?
- How might you improve what the organization is doing?
