These resources are supposed to stimulate a failing economy and provide structural and institutional support services for all citizens. The mines are unregulated, dangerous, and fail to provide basic resources for majority of the local citizens. There are little to no resources available and yet refugees and migrants are willing to risk their lives for the pursuit of gold!
