For the case analysis – you must examine the case study above with respect to THREE Organizational Behavior (OB) Chapter topics.

You can think of an OB “topic” as a collection of smaller concepts (at least 2 concepts for each topic – in other words, you’ll be applying at least SIX OB concepts.

Each TOPIC should draw from a DIFFERENT OB CHAPTER –
Some Chapters to reference:
Chapter 7 – Stress & Emotions at Work
Chapter 8 – Communication in Organizations
Chapter 9 – Managing Groups & Teams in Organizations
Chapter 10 – Conflict & Negotiations
Chapter 11 – Leading People Within Organizations
Chapter 13 – Managing Organizational Change
For each topic, you must ensure that your analysis meets the following criteria, and consequently, you will be evaluated on your ability to fulfill these requirements:
• Clearly introduce and define of each concept/idea that you discuss. Then apply each concept/idea to the case— that is, give specific examples of how each concept/idea is revealed or “shows up” in the episode (refer to the I.D.E.A. framework attached for reference).
Discuss how each OB topic contributes to the goal of Organizational Change, as examined in Chapter #13 (Managing Organizational Change) (. For example, if you were to discuss a particular theory of motivation, you might show if/how it changes throughout the case, and how this change contributes to the goal of organizational transformation.
o You should consider the concept(s) from different perspectives—it might be experienced differently by the different actors within the organization. For instance, for “Leadership” you should discuss how different people are affected by or experience this—not just the person who is designated the “leader.”
• Then, offer TWO appropriate, practical recommendations for changes or improvements for each OB topic using your own ideas based on your thoughts and experiences.
• Provide an appropriate Introduction and Conclusion to your case analysis. For the Introduction, give a very brief overview of the situation at your chosen organization, and identify the concepts you will examine. For the Conclusion, make sure to highlight the importance of your chosen OB topics and suggested changes to the proper, effective functioning of ANY organization.
Please ensure that you fully define, in your own words, every OB concept/topic that you write about. Giving a specific example or two will help get your definition across. (Hint: REFER TO THE IDEA(L) FRAMEWORK! – attached for reference)
• Focus first on making your argument or case from an OB perspective, then draw upon the material in the episode for examples which help support and illustrate your arguments.
