ESSAY – INTRODUCTION TO GROUP WORK

RATIONALE:

This assessment is designed to support students to critically evaluate different types of group work as they pertain to work with persons of diverse backgrounds and abilities. This activity encourages students to consider the strengths and limitations of different group forms and to recognise key theoretical that may underpin each of these group work types. Students are also invited to reflect on issues of power and the role of the social worker within the group work context.
