Read carefully, the attached journal article on learning styles and blended learning and write a 1000 word critique of it with the format of an introduction (approx. 100 words) main critique (approx. 800 words) and conclusion (approx. 100 words)
Within the critique you will need to think about the following ideas:
Introduction
•Identify the main themes of the paper and the main argument that the paper is making.
• What are they trying to achieve in their study?
• Provide a brief summary of the article
Main critique
•Consider what justification the author/s provides for their argument. Has the journal been peer reviewed and how well can we trust what they propose or have concluded?
• What do their findings mean for the real world?
•Identify any other journal articles that look at the same area of education/learning. What do these journals propose about the same topic? Do they agree or if not, what do they say differently?
• Make judgements on the journal
• What is the author/s trying to achieve and how well have they achieved it within their study?
• Analyse
• Evaluate (what is good and what is bad about the study – maybe look at how it was carried out. Was the sample of participants small or too specific? etc)
• synthesise (bring studies/themes together and make connections)
Conclusion
• Summarize the key points of the article and your analysis
• Does this study open further avenues for more research?
References
•Reference the sources you use within your text. Ensure any references used are from within the last 10 years unless they are from key initial theories.
•Create a reference list.
