FALL 2021 MID-TERM EXAMINATION
This exam represents an opportunity for you to demonstrate the skills you have acquired in the first half of this semester. Part A: Read the article and then answer the questions below. Write complete sentences using your own words. This part is worth 20 points in total.

7. Give an example of the author giving their opinion within the article. Is the opinion bias? Explain your answer. (4 points)
8. Create an APA References page entry for this source. (4 points)
Part B. For this section, you will produce a cohesive answer using paragraph format in response to the following statement:
Social media has a negative effect on body image.Your final response should be approximately 500 words in length and should discuss the issue with direct reference to the text. Be sure to include the “who, why, where and when” of the article in your introductory paragraph.
Your response must adhere to the following requirements:
1. A minimum of one direct quotation from the article must be used.
2. A minimum of two paraphrases from the article must be used.3. All quotations and paraphrases must be cited according to APA standards.
4. NO APA title page nor reference page is required for this assignment.
5. Conventions of academic writing should be followed (no slang, no 1st person usage).
6. This part is worth 30 points.
