Why should I be interested in your topic? Try to talk me into being interested.
Why are you interested in your topic? What is your specific topic? Make sure that your topic is specific (you should not try to address an entire weekly theme in your presentation). Make sure that your topic is relevant to our course—it should focus on non-Western civilizations and should not focus on topics addressed in United States history or Western Civilization classes.
Explain your RP approach: What is your thesis? What ideas or concepts are you going to use to reduce your research topic to a comprehensible discussion?
What main points would you like to bring up? Do you have a cohesive plan to support your thesis? If you have a RP paper outline, feel free to include it here.
What kind or research plan do you have? What kind of sources will you use? Where will you find your sources?
In a narrative fashion, list at least two, specific, scholarly sources which you will use in your research.
How will you use those sources specifically to further your research? How do they help develop your thesis?
