In this module students will:
● Critically analyse the core practices of teaching, learning and assessment across a range of contexts.
● Extend their reflective and reflexive skills through the analysis of classroom instruction.
● Extract the principles of good practice from classroom observations and experiences.
● Critically explore the role of the professional educator in maintaining threshold academic standards and in assuring and enhancing academic quality.
● Develop skills in establishing effective and supportive working partnerships with other professionals within and beyond their organisational context.
● Interrogate the wider social implications of the teacher’s profesional role, including a commitment to diversity, educational equity and social justice.
