The first part of the project is the written format, researched topic for a persuasive speech. The speech should be divided into 3 main points:
1. The pitfalls of consuming sugary drinks. Their health risks, association with comorbidities and long term side-effects of regular consumption.
2. What the recommended daily intake of sugar is, how much sugar is inside a can of coke, orange juice, and energy drink (Monster Energy)
3. How taking sugary drinks could potentially reduce the over-consumption of unhealthy beverages and encourage a healthy lifestyle, while repurposing funds towards public health incentives such as diabetes prevention. Relate it to the taxation of cigarettes in New York State.
The 2nd part of the project is a 7 slide PowerPoint with references listed on each main point. Everything must be in APA format. There also must be an embedded YouTucgobe video in the PowerPoint.
